LASH LIFT

Lash lifting is the stunning alternative to eyelash extensions. The results are immediately visible and can be more cost effective and a lower maintenance alternative to lash extensions. No more curling.

Lash Lift   $99

THE APPLICATION PROCESS

The process is a great relaxing break in the day.  After you lie down on the table, a lash lift specialist will cover your lower lashes to protect your lower lashes during the application. You then relax with your eyes closed. Many clients fall asleep during the procedure.

Based on the size of your lashes, your lash lift specialist will choose the appropriate silicone pad size to "lift" your lashes and apply lash glue which is water soluble. Your specialist will then brush back the lashes so they attach to the silicone pad and apply the specialized eyelash perming solution. Depending on the size and shape of your lashes the permanent relaxing solution will sit on lashes for 12 -15 minutes. The perming solution is then removed with q-tips and a neutralizing solution is applied for 10-12 minutes. We then finish off this treatment with a lash tint to make sure that your lashes are dark black from root to tip.

A Lash Lift is one of the fastest ways to brighten and lift your entire face. A stunning alternative to eyelash extensions, it is one of the essential treatments chosen by many celebrity make-up artists which gives that stunning wide-eyed look to your natural lash. With a Lash Lift, the results are immediately visible and can be more cost effective and a lower maintenance alternative to lash extensions.

Pre Lash Lift Prep

  • Please arrive COMPLETELY FREE OF ALL EYE MAKE UP. If there is ANY mascara left on your lashes, this will result in a poor lift!

  • It is ideal to not wear any mascara 24 hours prior to your Lift. If this is not possible, at least steer clear of the waterproof mascaras.

  • Be sure there is no make up remover residue left on your lashes. Just super clean, dry lashes.

  • No eye creams or moisturizer in or around the eye area

  • If you wear contacts, they must be removed prior to the service

  • Please arrive a few minutes early to your appointment so you have time to use the restroom. There's no stopping in the middle of a Lash Lift!

  • Take it easy on the caffeine before your appointment. Makes for a much more relaxing and less fidgety session

Post Lash Lift Instructions

  • No heat, steam, saunas, water, oils, lotions, creams, face wash, make up removers and wipes on lashes for a minimum of 24 hours. In other words, please plan to LEAVE YOUR LASHES FREE AND CLEAR OF EVERYTHING FOR 24 HOURS.

  • Oil make up removers do have a tendency to drop the curl a bit faster. That's not to say that you can't use them. But just be aware that you may not get as long a time out of your Lift.

  • Have your workout done prior to your appointment. Then please wait 24 hours after your Lift for your next workout.

  • We recommend the purchase of a lash styling wand. Because your lashes are still malleable (shape shifting) within the first day or two, a side sleeper/face sleeper can notice changes to the curl upon waking. Use the wand to straighten back out the curl pattern.

  • Brush every morning after you wash your face, just to further encourage a consistent curl pattern and better grow out.

  • As your Lash Lift grows out and your lashes are going through their normal growth cycles, you may notice (usually towards the 6th week or more) that some lashes are twisted over the the side and/or look a bit "frazzled". This is just the remains of the Lift growing out. This is NOT permanent and is NOT lash damage.

Frequently Asked Questions

At The iLash Studio, we know that getting a lash lift for the first time can make you nervous. We hope that this information will put you to ease in knowing that we are skilled, experienced and talented technicians. Here are a few of the most asked questions. If you don’t see your question here, please ask.

What is a Lash Lift?

It's a lifting technique designed to give you longer-looking lashes without the need for lash extensions. It will look as if you used a really good eyelash curler, only this lift lasts for 6 to 8 weeks! To top off the treatment, we apply a black lash tint which really makes your lashes look more prominent. The procedure takes about 60 minutes. It really is an easy way to instantly brighten and open up the eye area!

Is this like lash extensions where they will look dramatically thicker?

Lash extensions and lash lifts are 2 totally different services. We will not be adding any additional lashes to you. We will simply be curling your natural lashes. That said, for most, it can make your lashes appear fuller because they are so uplifted.

Is there any maintenance?

None at all! You don't have to do anything special with your lashes in between lifts.

Can I still wear mascara?

Of course! You'll just achieve a more dramatic effect when mascara is applied to your curled lashes.

How is this treatment any different than a lash perm?

Some of the lash perms of years past use tiny little rods that product a way too inverted curl. Others, use a type of lash curler/clamp which can be uncomfortable and difficult to work with. The methods we employ use silicon domed shields that lift the lashes from the root, producing a beautiful, uplifted look as if you used a high quality eyelash curler.

Will this damage my eyelashes?

No. The lifting solutions are only applied to the new growth area of the lashes, down towards the base and up a bit. Never to the ends of the lashes.

Are some lashes resistant to the curl?

We have found, on occasion,  that it's very difficult and sometimes not possible to sustain the curl with lashes that have a strong cowlick or slanted growth pattern. Also, growth patterns due to plastic surgery in the eye area are often not able to be corrected. We say, give the treatment a shot once, and let's see how your lashes hold the curl.

Is it painful?

No. At first, when we are applying the shields to the eyelids, it may feel a bit strange. But, for the most part, it's very relaxing! You just kick back and relax!

I have downward-pointing lashes, will this be a good treatment for me?

Yes! Anyone with these types of pesky lashes will love the lash lift! Post treatment, your lashes will all be evenly dispersed and lifted.

How long does the effect last?

Depending on the length and quality of your natural lashes, the lift can last for 6 to 8 weeks.

I have very very short lashes. Am I able to still do this procedure?

Most of the time, yes. Though it can be challenging if the lashes aren't even long enough to bring up and back on to the shield. But we say, give it a shot once and see how you do!

I have glaucoma, can I have this procedure?

Yes. If ever in doubt, always consult with your physician.

I've recently had blepharoplasty surgery, can I have this procedure?

You need to wait at least 1 year from your surgery. It has been our experience with clients who have had this surgery that there is an increased sensitivity in the eye area for quite a while. You need to give yourself that time to heal first. After that, you can consult with your physician to be sure.

I've recently had lasik surgery, can I have this procedure?

Yes, but you need to wait at least 6 months. As always, when in doubt, please consult with your physician.

Who is this procedure NOT good for?

Chronic dry eye, conjunctivitis, damaged lashes or lashes with gaps (this treatment may make the gaps more noticeable), active eye infections of any kind, trichotillomania (habitual pulling out of lashes), recent chemo treatments (you will need to wait at least a year from your last treatment). When in doubt, always consult with your physician.
